Between Tim and I, we might have read thousands of books. Legit thousands, I'm not exaggerating. Mostly on the topics of success, high performance, the Bible, the subconscious mind, and of course business, marketing, and branding.
Here are a few gems we've picked up that are good to remember.
1. You are a brand
Now more than ever. The digital age has put the focus on the individual. We now know a tremendous amount of information about someone just by clicking their social media profiles. Be careful, protect your personal brand at all costs. Look your best whenever possible, keep your word, stay credible, etc. Act professionally like you would expect a brand to act, because you are one.
2. You are only as good as you think you are
You have to believe in yourself, even if nobody else does. "If you think you can or you think you can't, you're right." - Henry Ford
3. It's not always the best who wins
It's not always the most talented who makes the team, or gets the job, or who makes the money. It's all about who can produce. Results, that's what people care about. Nobody cares about you, how good you are, how hard you work, nothing but results. It's harsh, but its facts.
4. Love what you do
You will likely spend most of your waking life working. So do something you love. Find what you love and do that, that way you will have the perseverance to keep going when things get tough, and they will get tough. Don't make excuses, find a way, but you'll need to implement the next one....
Anything you want to be successful in requires 10 times the effort you think it will. You have to go hard if you want to succeed in anything. The good news is, you will get 10 times the results you were shooting for. Go 10x and watch how fast things start to change.
Good luck in life Fam, we wish you the best.
