The skateboard community recently lost a true skateboard Legend, Gabriel Rodriguez. Gabe was one of street skateboardings earliest pioneers who skated with both style and technicality. As a member of the early Powell Peralta days Gabriel (alongside Mariano, Diaz and Johnson) represented the city kids.

For us here at Artform we had a special connection with Gabe in that he was also a 90's graffiti writer a.k.a. AYA from D.O.C. In those days skateboarding wasn't popular and graffiti was even less popular. So for us Gabe represented exactly who we were and the experiences we were having.

Gabriel showed us what power and grace look like on and off the board. He was our dude and he will forever be missed. Gone but not forgotten. See you on the other side. Rest easy and thank you!
